You use your Google calendar at same time as TIMIFY and want to make sure that there are no double bookings? Use our Sync App for Google Calendar to prevent this! In this article we'll show you how easy it is.

First install the App

If you want to synchronize your Google Calendar with your TIMIFY appointments, you can do this easily with our "Google Calendar" app. First click on the app in the "Apps" area below "Calendar Synchronization".

To start the installation you have to check the box Privacy Policy and click Install.

Invite a Resource and Connect to their Google Account

Now select the resource you want to sync with a Google Account and click on Connect. If you have already connected the resource you will see Awaiting confirmation.

The invited resource will now receive an email with a link to start the Google synchronization. Copy the link into your browser or (easier) click the "Connect" button in the mail.

Here select your Google account to connect it. You will then be asked to confirm that you are allowing TIMIFY access to the appointments in your Google calendar. Click the "Allow" button to confirm.

In the last step, select your Google Account as in the window below and click Connect. You should now receive a confirmation: The calendar has been successfully saved.

Now go back to your TIMIFY account and open the Google Calendar App again. Here you should see "Deactivate" next to the employee you have just connected to the Google Calendar.

Sync Settings

Click on the ⚙️Symbol to configure the synchronization settings.

In the "Settings" area you now have the option to select what should be synchronized:

  • Appointments from TIMIFY to Google
  • Appointments from Google to TIMIFY
  • both: 2-way synchronization - therefore appointments from Google to TIMIFY and from TIMIFY to Google

As soon as you save these changes, all new appointments will be synchronized according to your settings. If you want to synchronize already existing appointments, you can also trigger this manually in the settings. Just select the employee and click on Import events or bookings.

The synchronization should now be completed within a few seconds.

With the Google Calendar Sync you always keep track of your online bookings and your Google Calendar. So there can be no double bookings.
